Culminating Event – Unit 2

As with the end of every unit, HOPE Academy celebrated the end of Unit 2 with an amazing culminating event.

This year HOPE held its first Grandparents’ Reception honoring grandparents of current students before culminating event activities began. Grandparents were treated to a beautiful program featuring HOPE students as well as a special keepsake ornament to take with them.

Students grades 1 through 9 performed in three creative Number Drummer productions. Scenes demonstrated music patterns, layers, rhythm, a little bit of Star Wars, and how we can see and hear God in all that we do.

Each scene involved hours upon hours of hard work on the part of HOPE Academy’s music teacher Troy Kryzalka as well as the students who participated. Several students received awards for work they have put into through the Number Drummers and Number Strummers after-school programs.

As a special Christmas treat, culminating event attendees participated in a candle lighting in remembrance that God sent His son, Jesus, to be the Light of the world. This was truly a very heartwarming moment for all.

To wrap up this unit’s culminating event, students sang two beautiful holiday songs, “Let there Be Peace on Earth” and “O Come Let Us Adore Him”. Thank you to Mrs. Anovick for working with students to help make these songs beautiful.

This was, without a doubt a very happy ending to a great unit. We hope you all enjoyed your holidays and are looking forward to a great Unit 3.
